Canoe Lake Winnipesaukee!

This weekend me and a few friends went on a trip to Lake Winnipesaukee.. The trip turned out to be a fantastic one. We got a chance to build and test our outrigger at night which performed flawlessly. The day was spent sailing around the islands and collecting blueberries. A great place to start your canoe voyage is from Melvin village. This towns has a few public docks with free parking and an overall provides very good access to the water.

Relaxing during a time of no wind.
This is how our sail was held up.
The sail itself looked as if it would fall appart at any moment.
Construction of the Outrig: Takes about 1 hour.
We met our friends on the lake. They had no chance of catching up to us when the sail was raised.
The canoe was sailing very quickly.
Lot of wind. Next time we will have an even bigger sail.
